Collapsible Panel Control

Collapsible Panel highly enhances the User Interface of the System.

It can be used over a very large number of categorized navigation links have to be included in a page while keeping in view the layout of page and also the User Interface.

It gives a very organized and categorized look to the page.

Contains main and sub panels. Here panels represent the menus.

It has UI advantages over the traditional Menus.

Main Panel is the panel which contains the sub panels under it.

To view these Sub panels, user has to click on the image provided in the right corner of the main panel.

Sub Panels are the panels which are contained inside the main panel.

There can be any number of main panels.

Each main panel can contain any number of sub panels.

Initially these main panels are arranged one above the other in the desired order.

Provides two Modes namely

Expand One
If the Mode is Expand One then, initially sub panels are in an invisible state

Expand All.
If the Mode is Expand All then, initially sub panels are in a visible state.

Produces the collapsing and expanding effect.

Provides large amount of data or many navigation links in a reasonably small space.

It provides a great look and feel rather than the conventional menus.

It provides enhanced navigation experience as in menus, when user tries to navigate there are high chances of cursor slipping out of the menu area and clicking at wrong place. Again the menu has to be opened.

The Collapsible Panel can have different Behaviors and effects. The different effects can be expanding and collapsing all at once or in slow motion.

Collapsible Panel can be customized depending on requirement using XML. A well defined schema (format) is provided for the XML file, which can be easily binded to the control to give it the desired shape.

Collapsible Panel is very well customizable by using the Object model. Every Group and every Item is accessible using the Object model.

Collapsible Panel can very well be customized dynamically or controlled by events providing it high flexibility.
